home…

well…I’m home…so I will be back posting and visiting again regularly!  I took many photos, some I like and some I don’t, but for today I’m going to show you three of one of my favourite things to capture…”naked trees” as I like to call them.  they are beautiful with their leaves, but there is so much more detail and character to them, when they are scraggly looking, bent in some of the most interesting ways…

lone.tree.kentucky.2013love this scene…as you can see it was a rather dreary looking day, but warm, which cancels out the dreary!  on the ride home somewhere in Kentucky…

more.trees.Kentucky.2013same day and drive… but I’m fine with the colours…trees.kentucky.2013.2I don’t mind a dreary day once in a while, especially if it is warm…

PS…all photos were taken from my moving vehicle, on the drive home from Florida…

  1. Heather, I’m impressed that you could take such sharp photos in a moving vehicle! I especially like the first one, and I agree that dreary is just fine if it’s also warm. Welcome home! The naked trees, in our neighborhood, have been catching my attention too.

    • thank you Wendy…you know there is so much to see on the drive that if I stopped to take a photo of everything I wanted to it would have taken me weeks to get home 🙂 I tried taking shots through the wind shield as well as the side window…I actually managed to get a few interesting ones through the wind shield…the ones from the side windows turned out blurry, might be able to do something with them though.

    • thanks Meg…you know I think this shot could be almost anywhere…it actually is in Kentucky though…one of my favourites…I’d consider enlarging it and putting it on my wall… 🙂

      • I think it would do quite well as a large piece. It would capture the space and horizon quite well-
