nesting…
A little over a week ago I noticed we had a boarder…a Robin decided to build her nest inside my garage. This spring I took my snow scraper out of my vehicle and leaned it against the wall in between two 2 x 4…look where the Robin decided to build a nest. Don’t know why I didn’t notice her building the nest? The garage was under construction and the garage door wasn’t on yet. There is at least one egg in the nest, so it looks like the garage door may be awhile before it goes on.
That’s quite the spot to build a nest, talk about inginuity in design 🙂

She’s looking at you like, “What do you want?”

lol…yes she is very comfortable where she is and she never flies away when I out drive of the garage, she has flown away when I’ve driven in but only a couple of times…it is as thought she knows she is safe…

That’s very cool.

yes very cool, but surprising as well…when I go into the house from the garage I’m no more than 5 feet away from her…

Heather, this is so sweet. Robins are always looking for a safe place that won’t be spotted from the sky. A hawk got one of our garden’s nests already this year. Your dear robin family should be safe in your garage.

it really was rather interesting to watch the nest, the mother wasn’t concerned about me in and out of my garage/vehicle, she would sit and watch me…they are long gone now!
