bumpy ice…
it has been warmer the last day or so, in fact it is sunny and -4C right now, so it that keeps up hopefully this will melt and smooth out! I could wish for lots of snow to cover this but the solid pieces could be dangerous…I’d rather it melted. This makes for difficult walking, cross country skying or snowmobiling when the ice is thick enough! It is NOT thick enough, we haven’t had enough cold weather.

lol…yes, that is what happens when it is super windy and freezing cold…makes for very rough ice! there may be a few rocks in that pile don’t know this area of the beach well??? Although it didn’t look like that when I was taking the photos!

it is normal for this part of Ontario to have a great deal of snow…sometimes this early in the season sometimes not…it is what it is right? Thank you for visiting.

That is wild! What lake? Or is it the North Bay? I’d love to xx ski out there. I’ll bet the wind makes is so effing cold, though, huh?

lol…yes, sometimes the ice freezes very rough! It is Lake Nipissing…where the majority of my photos are taken. lol…some days it is awesome to xx ski but when there is a north wind it is truly effing cold…you wouldn’t want to be on the lake!!! 😉
