I’ve returned from Florida and have just gotten to my photos.  They will be in random order depending on what I get to next.   Here is a fellow we found at the Naples Zoo.   I’ve been to the zoo a couple of times and enjoy the fact it is small and hasn’t been overly busy when we have been there making it relatively easy to observe the zoo residents…fyi…all my photos taken this trip were with my iPhone it was just easier to carry around.

      • I sometimes try to do them in chronological order but that won’t happen right now

      • I kinda think that there are no rules. Sometimes I post really old photos

      • I agree, I only try the chronological order so I don’t miss anything…but I do like to post old photos, that makes me realize how much I’ve improved.

  3. What a beautiful bird! I love using my smartphone for taking pictures on a trip. I only use my Canon when I really need it. I am always afraid of breaking it!

    • Yes he/she was a beauty, very quiet and dignified…I’ve seen them before and they were noisy and agitated. Makes me think this fellow enjoyed his/her home??? Happy to hear I’m not the only one…I found in the past the Nikon is too heavy and I actually don’t care for the Linex/Panasonic camera I have. With the iPhone I do ok during the day but the night photos, especially inside are terrible?

      • I have a Samsung Galaxy but am going back to the iPhone. I even have challenges with my Cannon in certain lighting. But then I am not disciplined enough to really practice and learn in different lighting settings. 🙂

      • you sound like me, I do like the iPhone for many reasons and the camera is one of them…I like the photos I take with my Nikon, they are far superior…but…like you I don’t want to take the time to learn all the settings, at least not yet and I’ve had the camera since 2013. 😉

      • ha ha ha. We are very similar in that aspect!!

      • lol…I enjoy taking photos but I’m not a perfectionist when it comes to it…makes it more enjoyable for me I think, as trying to figure out all the settings would stress me out! When I first got my Nikon I contemplated learning the settings and it did frustrate me so I asked a professional photographer I knew how to go about it and she said “being new to taking photos I might consider learning how to take interesting photos first, however long that takes me. When I’m happy for the most part with how I take a photo, then think about learning the settings if I wanted to”…so far I’ve not wanted to! She said she felt learning both at the same time could be very stressful to those new to taking photos…I followed her suggestion and it has worked just fine for me! :

      • Oh my gosh I so agree! Finding interesting shots is a good approach. This should be fun and not stressful. 🙂

      • Yes, that is my thought…I’ve always said when something I’m doing stops being fun then it is probably time to move on…

      • I so agree!
