Black and white – it emphasizes the building more.

thanks for commenting! That is what I was thinking but I was drawn to the large area of green grass as well…I suppose it all depends on what draws a person in…

thanks Hanno…I love all the green grass in the color shot!

I am torn between both of them, in the black and white version the sky is blown out which is ok if the edge top edge had be darkened and the grass is a bit flat but in the colour version the trees have no shadow detail so creates a negative space, this exists in the black and white version but it helps to contrast the building. I think in the end i would go with the black and white if there was a slight sepia toning to the image just to give the grass a bit more depth.
IMHO

hey Ben…thanks for taking the time to give me such a detailed comment…it helps me learn!!! This is one of my shots taken while driving…on the way to Rosseau there isn’t time to stop and at the end of the day we are tired…hence the shots from the vehicle window! 🙂

There is nothing wrong with shooting through a vehicle window, I have done it many a time.

oh I agree…but as I’m sure you know, it takes many shots to get one descent one from a moving vehicle!!! I do try to compose a bit, by looking ahead, but it is rather difficult when the vehicle is going between 80 and a 100 kilometers…regardless, I’ve managed a few that are useable, which I think is cool…

I really like the sun on the tall grasses, so for this particular shot, I like the color. Nice space!

Great photo. I prefer the color version due to the fact that you have such wonderfully warm light.
