Saw this fellow and his companion last year…you could tell they were used to people being around as they didn’t appear to be the least bit concerned.

      • Who get fed a lot by people 😀

        December 4, 2015 at 4:01 am

      • lol…some people do yes, but I don’t, never have! My thought is feed them and they get dependent on people which is not as it should be.

      • This is true. I have fed garden birds in unuasually harsh winters, I unwittingly fed a sparrowhawk once in a similar way, there were so many sparrows in the garden eating my handouts that the hawk could not resist. Unlucky sparrow but an amazing sight for me

      • I know, it is what it is right! I have squirrels around but very few birds, most likely because they are fed elsewhere!

      • Squirrels are good, interesting behaviour. Their ability to solve puzzles is incredible.

      • I agree, they can also be agressive if they think you have food for them. 😳

  5. Funny how wild animals get use to humans. We have deer coming into our neighborhood. They stop eating the bushes and just watch you drive into your garage and then continue eating.

  6. It is very telling…I notice that a great deal in Florida, with birds. Here we have many deer, so many they become a driving hazard as they dart across the road from ditches. They are venturing farther and farther into city boundaries to forage the vegetable gardens…which annoys gardeners.
