I spotted these lovely purple crocuses at the waterfront last week…same day I photographed the ice moving.

      • I hear that in some parts of Canada they are big enough to carry small children, of course this may be a slight exageration..

      • ha ha, only a slight exaggeration! Black flies can often be worse as they are tiny…I’ve had them fly in my mouth, around my eyes and nose…a real nuisance! again…thankfully I don’t have them often around my place!

      • We get sand flies here, they are tiny but have large appetites

      • the black flies and mosquitoes have very large appetites as well…but at least we can see them and swat them away, sand flies not so much.
