sad island…
this tiny island is at the end of champlain park…to the left is the lavasse river…looks rather sad with the water out and the leaves off the trees, grass all brown…

thank you seth for stopping by, with kind words…I made friends with the island a long time ago…when I lived on the shores of lake nipissing (for 20 years)I could see this tiny island from my lake side yard…I visited often when the water was drawn down, as it always is in the fall, it was only a couple of minutes walk along the sand, never actually went on the island as it is privately owned, just went up close to admire it…I have a few photos of the island in the middle of summer looks very happy then! :~)
