Cincinnati on the fly…
here are a few more photos of my drive home from Florida in March of this year…again all were taken from the passenger window as we drove…this is leaving Kentucky, heading into Cincinnati Ohio…towards the Brent Spence Bridge…I cropped out all the vehicles ahead of us not sure it was a good idea?
the photos above and blow are of the same area, but the top was a different angle & cropped …
I’ve always wondered about these skinny houses in Cincinnati and why they were built this way…this is the first shot I’ve been able to do anything with…I’ve searched the internet but couldn’t find any info on the skinny houses…if anyone can tell me where I can read the history on these houses let me know…
I haven’t been to Cincinnati in awhile, it is always a fun time there. Thanks for sharing the great pictures 🙂

Thanks, I’ve never visited, only driven through, along I75, going to and coming from Florida in the winter.

Heather, I am not sure how accurate this is; however, I heard that skinny houses were economical since they took minimal road frontage and thus less taxes were charged? I always enjoy “skinny house” pictures.

Your explanation sounds reasonable…I was surprised though when I couldn’t find anything on line regarding the why. the look is very cool…
Thanks Wendy.
