I never get tired of looking at these trees…they amaze me, their root system must reach a great distance. We have very strong winds in this area and I’m always expecting to drive by and find one or more of these old fellows toppled over. This photo was taken a few weeks before Christmas…

I’ve been told before that some go for half a mile or two, even entwined with the other ones, this angle is prolly nothing if that’s the case 🙂

I’m sure you are correct…they would have to be massive to hold them as we do have wicked winds on the waterfront.

We are cut from the same cloth…a walk in the park the other day was a gift as I touched the branch of one of the biggest trees, thinking how deep those roots must go!!! Much love!

Yes it does, in fact more so off the lake. I think a contributing factor of angle the trees are bent because of the wind but also because they are rooted in sand??? To be honest I don’t know… 🙂
