black & white & color
I saw this old barn on the drive home from Florida this winter… in Kentucky I think. The photos was taken from the vehicle out of the passenger side window. The roof has seen better days…thought I’d try it in both color and black & white…do you have a preference?
these of course are more of the gnarly bent trees…

B/W works well for old buildings, Sepia can be good too.. Nicely done 🙂

thanks…I’ve not used Sepia much, in fact not sure if I’ve ever used it. 🙂

I like it but usually desaturate it as it always seems a bit too much..

I’ve often tried Sepia while processing photos to see how it looks but it never appeals to me…when I try it the outcome feels negative…rather than a positive enhancement… 🙂

Try it de-saturated, I find it looks nicer..

alright…will do…thanks for the tip!

The birds photo is a de-saturated sepia, I did both of those bits in Photoscape..

thanks Hanno…I agree…it is wonderful how we can take an “alright” color photo, convert it to B & W and it becomes great!

Both of them are breathtaking, Heather. Love them 🙂

Great contrast!! I am chagrined that these posts have not been in my reader. I am traveling so it is impossible to catch all posts, but I also shouldn’t have missed all these posts. They are wonderful!!

lol…I’ve just gone through this with a couple of other bloggers…it seems that for some reason Word press is deleting some we follow and adding others we didn’t choose to follow??? Not sure why it has happened but we are dealing with computer programs after all they do sometimes get buggy. I’m sorry you had to take the time to go through these at once…but thank you for your kind thoughts Cindy.
